About Martin Disco 

Hi, I'm Martin. I have been DJ'ing since I was 11 years old when my older brother (also a DJ!) taught me how to mix on turntables & it has remained a passion ever since. At age 16 I won a BT Get Out There competition for producing dance music as part of their rising talent competition & featured in their magazine nationwide. I have also appeared in national music production magazine Future Music. From age 18 throughout my twenties I DJ'd professionally in & around different bars & clubs in the Southampton area where I attended University & for many years afterwards. My experience in this is deep, genuine & it led to me starting this business.

Our ethos at Martin Disco is grounded in professionalism & personalisation. When you book with us, whether it is for a grand wedding, special occasion or just 2 hrs at a bar, we will ensure that your needs are addressed in advance & delivered to specification. Whatever your ideal event inspiration is, I will do my best to ensure it is realised. Needs are established face to face via video call or via online survey if preferred. 

I have worked hard to differentiate our services from other providers. Our setup is meticulously presented in white. Our equipment is top of the range in both the audio & visual elements. Every track is mixed live, just like it should be - no auto playlists here! I have a library of tracks that are assigned custom scripted lighting (via DMX) & this plays out wirelessly across more than 30 lighting fixtures. We provide extensive uplighting as standard & our curtain light (with endless variations) is a unique feature to Martin Disco. 

We carry full Public Liability insurance & PAT testing of equipment. Evidence of both is supplied at time of booking alongside an agreement sheet so both of us know exactly what, where & when is expected.
